ROBBY: WE KEPT THE FAITH
MK Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo praised his team for sticking to their game plan after they came from behind to beat Carlisle 3-1 at stadiummk.
Peter Leven cancelled our Danny Graham's early opener in the first half before Miguel Llera's towering header and a late Leven penalty secured victory.
After an impressive showing from his players, who emphatically answered their manager's call for a home performance, Di Matteo said it was their calmness after conceding that pleased him the most.
He said: "It was a great afternoon today I have to say. We started off one-nil down and the players showed a good, good reaction to that.
"We were confident after we conceded and you could see that in the reaction of the players.
"I don't think it gets much better than today because we had to fight back into the game. We kept going, put them under pressure got the second goal and then fortunately got the late penalty.
"Today we were on top of Carlisle and the players never lost their faith in what we do on a daily basis."
It's the first time the Dons have recorded back-to-back league wins since August and moves them up to third in the table for a few hours at least.
And Di Matteo says they now have a platform to put a run together.
"We just want to have a bit of consistency," he said.
"We didn't have it up to today but I think we're in a good position to work on it and find a solution to it."
More reaction from Roberto Di Matteo and two-goal Peter Leven to come on Dons World.
