Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo insists he wants to keep Keith Andrews at the Club, but putting him on the transfer list is the only way to clear up his future.

Andrews, 27, was made available for a switch on Saturday, following relentless summer speculation linking him with a move away from stadiummk.

The Club have made it clear that they will not stand in Andrews' way should he have the chance to step up to a higher level, but have received no formal offers for the League 2 Player of the Year.

And while Di Matteo has no desire to lose his influential midfielder, he says the matter must be brought to a head to prevent it damaging preparations for the new season.

He said: "There's been a lot of speculation about Keith and there hasn't been an official offer yet so we just want to get it right.

"If there is a serious offer for him then they should be put forward and he can decide. Otherwise he has to decide whether he is going to move or stay with us.

"He is still a part of this team and I hope he will stay with us but we have put him on the transfer list because there has been speculation but we haven't had a written offer from anybody.

"We can't wait any longer for a decision to be made."
