Milton Keynes Dons FC have extended The Big Freeze deadline, giving supporters until the end of July to secure season tickets for next season at last season's prices.

Following an outstanding take-up for the 2008/09 campaign, Chairman Pete Winkelman has decided to give even more fans the chance to see the reigning League 2 Champions lead their assault on League 1.

The new season doesn't kick-off until August 9, but already season ticket sales at stadiummk are up by nearly 20 per cent. And a lot more are expected to sign up before the first home league game against Northampton Town on August 16.

It promises to be another memorable season for the Dons after a campaign that will go down in the Club's history-books. 2007/08 not only saw the Dons storm to a League 2 title/Johnstone's Paint Trophy Double, it saw some attendances outsiders never thought possible from the people of Milton Keynes.

The Club smashed its record home attendance on three separate occasions last season: 13,037 seeing the 4-1 demolition of Lincoln; 14,521 here for the top-of-the-table clash with Peterborough; and 17,250 to see the season's finale against Morecambe.

On top of that, a staggering 33,000 Dons fans converged on Wembley for the Trophy final - a true indication of the Club's potential and a magnificent show of strength from the city.

With average attendances at stadiummk up 50 per cent on 2006/07, Milton Keynes is discovering that it really is the place to be on a Saturday afternoon.
